PTT Wiring Step Guide for 2.4A Power & PTT Amplifier
PTT 2.4 A POWER UNIT INSTALLATION
- Connect the black (ground) wire to the metal body of the vehicle with a self-tapping screw. Alternatively, you may use an existing, grounded screw or bolt (if available).
- Connect the red wire to a constant, hot, 12-volt power source. A fuse tap (optional) allows easy wiring to the fuse box.
- Connect the white wire to a 12-volt power source that is tied to ignition. A fuse tap (optional) allows easy wiring to the fuse box.
- Tuck and hide wires securely away from daily activity to avoid stressing the wire connection points.

By default, your GPS Lockbox Flex unit powers your tablet only while the vehicle is running. If you wish it to provide constant power, connect the white wire to a constant 12-volt power source instead of a power source that is tied to ignition.
PTT AMPLIFIER POWER UNIT INSTALLATION
Wiring for your PTT Amplifier should be used
with the 5A fuse and fuse holder that come in the installation packet with your
PTT Equipment.
- Connect the black (ground) wire to the metal body

existing, grounded screw or bolt (if available).
- Connect the red wire to a constant, hot, 12-volt power source. A fuse tap (optional) allows easy wiring to the fuse box.
- Tuck and hide wires securely away from daily activity to avoid stressing the wire connection points.
- Run cable to the back of the amp plug-in 12VDC. Making
sure not to pinch cable and secure cable as needed
*Once cable is wired and plugged into the back of the PTT Amplifier, turn power button on and you should see the blue LED light up. If it does not
make sure you are on a good power source and check the fuse to make sure it is
not blown.
