ES Chat (Android) Setup for GPS Lockbox PTT Kit

Initial Setup

Once ES Chat is installed, navigate to the app icon on your device and click on it. Fill in the appropriate login information, and you will be taken to the main ES Chat screen.

 

Step 1

Options menu

·     Press the overflow menu button in the top right corner (3 vertical dots).

·     Press button labeled “Settings”

 

Step 2

Headset Sound Profile

·     Press button labeled “Headset Sound Profile”

·     Press button labeled “Headset Type”

·     Under the headset type option, select the “Two Pulse” option

·     Press the “Minimum Call volume” button

·     Slide the slider to the right until it reads 100%

·     Press the “OK” button

 

Setting Default Callee (If Desired)

Settings menu

·     In the settings menu, press button labeled “Default Callee”

·     Select desired contact or group you wish to be the default to call from the list.

·     This can also be accessed from the main contact screen by clicking on the appropriate contact or group, and long pressing until the options screen appears.

·     Select the “Set Default Callee” option.

·     If a default callee is not selected for a contact or group, then pressing the palm mic button will not engage a call until a contact is selected from the contact list first.
